Auto-renewal: keeping your services active

1 min readUpdated 23 Jun 2026

Hostbox services renew automatically each billing cycle so you don't lose your hosting or domain by forgetting a date. Auto-renewal doesn't charge a card for you. Instead, it generates a renewal invoice that you pay by bank transfer, just like your first order.

How auto-renewal works

As each billing cycle nears its end, Hostbox prepares your service to continue into the next period. You stay in control: nothing is taken from your bank automatically. You simply receive an invoice to pay.

The renewal reminder and invoice

Before each renewal, Hostbox sends you a reminder email along with a renewal invoice. The invoice shows the amount due and the date by which to pay so your service continues without interruption.

1
Watch for the reminder

You'll get a reminder email and a renewal invoice before the due date.

2
Pay by bank transfer

Send the transfer for the invoice amount, including your reference.

3
Renewal confirmed

Once Hostbox confirms payment, your service continues seamlessly.

Bank transfers take time to arrive. Pay your renewal invoice a few days before the due date so confirmation lands before your current cycle ends.

Reviewing upcoming renewals

You can see what's coming up at any time in your Hostbox dashboard. Sign in and open the billing area to review upcoming renewals, due dates, and amounts. This is the best way to plan ahead and avoid surprises.

If a renewal goes unpaid

If a renewal invoice isn't paid, your service isn't cut off instantly, but it will eventually be suspended. If it stays unpaid after suspension, the service can expire, which may mean losing a domain or hosting data.
