How to pay for and receive your Hostbox order — accepted payment methods, service activation, secure card processing, refunds, and currency conversion.
Payment
Services in our online store can be paid for in one of the following ways:
- Card payment — VISA, Maestro, or MasterCard cards that support online payment. Card payments are carried out in cooperation with AllSecure d.o.o. and Hipotekarna Banka, and are processed in a secure and certified manner through the AllSecure Payment Gateway, simply by entering your payment card details.
- Bank wire transfer — after placing your order you will receive payment instructions at the email address you provided. Your service is activated as soon as we confirm receipt of the payment.
Once your card details are entered and payment is confirmed, Hipotekarna Banka authorizes the transaction; your order is thereby approved and enters activation. The amount will be reserved on your card (account) and will not be available to you for other purposes. The transaction will be completed and the amount debited from your account only once the service has been provisioned. If the payment is not completed — that is, the amount is not debited — within 14 days of the acceptance of your order, that order will be cancelled and deleted. After the 14-day period expires, the money reserved on your account is released and becomes available to you again. You may then repeat the same order or place a new one and make the related payment. Please check with the bank that issued your card whether your card supports online payment.
Delivery of Services
Our products are digital services (hosting, domains, and related add-ons); there is no physical shipment. Service costs and any applicable fees are clearly shown in the cart and on the order confirmation. Before completing the purchase, you will be shown the total amount payable.
For card payments, your service is provisioned and activated automatically right after a successful payment. For bank wire transfers, your service is activated as soon as we confirm receipt of the payment, after which you will receive a confirmation at the email address you provided. If we are unable to activate a service, you will be contacted to resolve the issue, and any amount already paid will be refunded.
Data Protection During Payment
When you enter your payment card details, confidential information is transmitted over the public network in a protected (encrypted) form using the SSL protocol, applying the most advanced methods of tokenizing sensitive data and in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. At no point are your payment card details available to the merchant.
3D Secure protection for all merchants and customers
The AllSecure Payment Gateway uses the highest global standards for data protection and privacy. All merchants who use the AllSecure Payment Gateway are automatically included in 3D-Secure protection, which guarantees the security of purchases for customers. Customers' payment card numbers are not stored on the merchant's system, and the entry itself is protected by SSL data encryption.
PCI DSS standards
The AllSecure Payment Gateway continuously complies with all the requirements of the card organizations in order to increase the level of security for merchants and customers. From 2005 to the present day, without interruption, the system has been certified as PCI-DSS Level 1 — the highest standard in the industry. The PCI Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is a norm that defines the security measures required when processing, storing, and transmitting sensitive card data. PCI standards protect sensitive cardholder data throughout the entire payment process: from the moment the data is entered at the merchant's point of sale, during communication between the merchant and the relevant banks and card organizations, and during the subsequent storage of that data.
Refunds
In the event of a refund to a customer who previously paid with one of the payment cards — whether partial or in full, and regardless of the reason for the return — the refund is made exclusively to the same VISA, Maestro, or MasterCard card used for the payment. This means that, at our request, Hipotekarna Banka will refund the amount to the cardholder's account.
Statement on Payment Conversion
All payments are made in euros (EUR). If you pay with a payment card issued by a foreign bank, the transaction amount will be converted into the cardholder's local currency according to the exchange rate of the Visa/Mastercard card organizations.
Please note that all payments will be effected in Euro (EUR). If the payment is done using foreign issuers' payment cards, the total amount of the transaction will be converted into the cardholder's local currency, according to the current exchange rate of Visa/Mastercard.
